Recognize cards automatically
The machine captures each card individually and matches it against the stored card data.
DIY project for TCG cards
Recognize cards, sort them across six destination bins, and connect your physical collection with a card inventory stored offline on your device.
New Magic: The Gathering cards are added to recognition automatically. The mechanical and outer parts are designed to be built with your own 3D printer; a coordinated kit is planned for the remaining components.

Why TCG System?
A scanner tells you which cards are in front of it. TCG System goes one step further: cards are not only recognized, but physically sorted according to your rules. Afterwards, you decide which results to transfer to Inventory and where the physical cards are stored.
The machine captures each card individually and matches it against the stored card data.
Distribute cards across six destination bins by criteria such as color, set, rarity, card type, mana value, or price. In addition to predefined profiles, custom rules are available when this feature is enabled.
Transfer reviewed results to Inventory and assign a box, binder, or storage location.
Machine flow
The stack is captured one card at a time. The results initially belong to a machine run; they are transferred to Inventory later, deliberately, in Review & Transfer.
The system assigns cards to the active sorting profile using the stored card data. The minimum confidence defines when a result may continue through the normal workflow.
The transport moves each card to its assigned destination bin. This keeps the physical sorting path connected to the selected profile.
Six bins are available for sorting destinations; bin 7 is permanently reserved for Eject/Review. Low confidence, missing rules, or technical issues are kept visibly separate.
Build it yourself
TCG System is a DIY project: you 3D-print the enclosure and mechanical parts yourself. A coordinated kit is planned for the remaining components.
Supported card games
TCG System is an expandable card sorting system for Trading Card Games. The current version is designed for Magic: The Gathering; additional TCGs are planned to be added gradually.

Recognition accuracy
These are our first published figures. We are continually improving recognition so that results become even more accurate over time.

How the system works
Every run remains traceable: recognize and sort in the machine, then deliberately review and store the results.
Cards are fed one at a time and captured in the scan box.
The software identifies the card and its metadata and applies the selected sorting profile.
The gripper transports the card to one of six destination bins. Uncertain cases go to the eject/review bin.
Review & Transfer connects the result with the digital inventory and the physical storage location.
App & Inventory
The real Inventory interface is the visual center: machine runs are reviewed in a controlled process, transferred, and connected with physical storage locations.
Your Inventory remains available even without a connected machine. TCG System runs fully locally — without a cloud requirement. Stored card data and images remain available on your device; when a connection is available, changes and inventory data are synchronized.
Sorting profiles
Predefined profiles cover recurring tasks. Custom rules can — when enabled — combine conditions; if no rule matches or a result is too uncertain, the card remains in Eject/Review.

Who is it for?
When a few decks turn into several boxes, TCG System helps you divide large quantities of cards into a structured system and keep track of your collection.
Sort a stack, review problematic cards, and assign confirmed cards to a storage location.
New cards, bulk, and existing inventory can be pre-sorted by defined criteria and then transferred into your own inventory workflow.
Technology & trust
The machine, app, and local database run on the system on site.
The minimum confidence separates uncertain results for later review instead of assigning them to a regular bin without verification.
New Magic: The Gathering cards are added to recognition automatically. This keeps metadata, card images, and local recognition data up to date.
Foil/finish detection is an optionally enabled feature and is used only when it is available for the run.
A machine run becomes part of Inventory only after Review & Transfer. This keeps corrections and inventory movements traceable.
Transfers and inventory movements follow defined workflows.
Development status
Software and firmware are continuously developed further. Customer feedback and good ideas feed directly into the ongoing development of the system.
FAQ
TCG System is currently designed for Magic: The Gathering. Additional TCGs are planned to be added gradually once they are approved.
This is currently in development. A reliable rule for sleeves will be published only after verified testing.
A specific throughput figure will be published only after it has been measured reproducibly and approved.
Predefined profiles and — when enabled — custom rules can assign cards by card name or initial letter, color, set, rarity, card type, mana value, Collector Number, finish, or price. Conditions can be combined; cards without a matching rule remain in Eject/Review.
They are sent to the eject/review bin and reviewed later in Review & Transfer.
Your stored card data and images remain available on your device even when no machine is connected. Changes are stored locally and synchronized with Inventory when a connection is available.
